Day 20 - A moving (emotional) scene [in before I forget to do it!]

The last three and a half minutes of American History X kill me every time. I don't want to give it away if you haven't seen it, because I think everyone should, but it's just devastating. There are a lot of movies that'll do it to me, but this one KILLS ME DEAD.

For honorable mentions, I'd say the scene in Gladiator where Maximus finds his family murdered... or pretty much all of Stop-Loss...There was a scene in A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints that had me bawling my eyes out, too... Damn you, Channing Tatum! Oh man, and the end of Big Fish or THE FALL?! I'm such a crybaby just thinking about some of these. OH GOD, ARMAGEDDON. No, I stand by American History X.

For shits and giggles, I Googled to see what other people had picked, and I found a Top 20 Saddest Movie Scenes video montage, and the first clip (#20) was the end of City of Angels, which pretty much invalidates the entire list for me preemptively. I laughed SO HARD through that scene because it was basically a PSA for bike safety, and that whole movie was a flaming piece of horsecrap. [ETA: The whole list sucked, except for My Girl, which was the most depressing movie EVER when I was little.] I have to stop watching these, not so much for the depressing factor, but because I'm laughing at the stuff people are crying about.
