Write-a-thon: Week Three

Hello, Chapter 10!

This was a good week. I came out ahead of my weekly goal with 6343 words, thanks to an extra day off on Monday for the holiday. I've averaged a little over 1000 words in an hour for the past few mornings, now that I'm getting past some awkward info dumps (which will be fixed later, yes they will), and am moving into a section I'm really excited about. Things seem on track, as far as I know the story is going to develop from here. I now have a villain, sort of. And a kind of plot, even.

Next week I'll be in L.A. from Sunday to Wednesday for work (meaning I'll miss some spelunking in the NY subway tunnels, another KGB Reading, and a friend visiting from out-of-town!). But then I'm on vacation until the following Tuesday! See, I scheduled days off for Readercon, and even though I can't go after all, I'm taking the days anyway. I imagine with all the extra time for writing, I should have no trouble meeting my word count next week, and hope to do a couple of story revisions and/or start a new story, too.

Tonight, I'm going to talk to a plumber about some purple coins.

wat, quantum coin, cw
