You know the Norwegian short story I wrote during Norwegian class a while ago? The one I thought was the most miserable, crappy short story to ever have been written? The one mentioned in this post?
The teacher handed it back to me today.
When I saw the grade, I started laughing hysterically and ended up crying. Why?
I got a 5/6.
Her comments were something like "Nice novel with good point. Imaginative. Very well written. To get a 6, I think you should have emphasized the scientist's thoughts rather than more or less just describing her actions."
I can't believe it. Those four pages of... Junk? Roughly written directly from thought to paper in 25 minutes? Ah well, can't complain. Of course, I explained that I'd deliberately decided to merely describe her thoughts and bladibla, trying to convince her to give me a higher grade. I'm such a perfectionist geek. Or something. Only 6 is good enough! Yes.
I'm going to a prison to perform "Ibens Spa" tomorrow. Should be interesting.
