Things about the Chinese that foreigners would die trying to understand

1. When we sleep on pillows filled with buckwheat or dried corn shells
2. No matter how rich we are, we sleep simple wood planks.
3. Every morning without fail, we roll our comforters into neat rolls, which we place at the foot of the bed.
4. Street vendors stick an entire ear of corn on a stick, roast it, and sell it just that way. Ice cream and candy come in corn flavor.
5. When opening a bank account, you must check either "teacher" or "doctor."
6. We wear our cell phones on cords around our necks.
7. Sunscreen is considered merely a high-end beauty product.
8. Girls use umbrellas on a perfectly sunny day.
9. Our mop handles are very long, but our broom handles are very short.
10. Brides dress in white, but they ride away in big black sedans.
11. High-end bars serve coffee, and they "brew" it with chemistry supplies.
12. Price is set by the gram, but all the balances mass in kilogram.
13. We have Mother's Day, Father's Day, AND Children's Day.
14. Some people in the countryside take a bath 4 times a year, but wash their feet every day.
15. We eat liver but not grape skin.
16. In college, everyone brings their own seat cushion to class. Girls wear sleeve protectors.
