As soon as the bus rolled to his stop, Zaizen dragged his bag off and adjusted the straps on his backpack. Frowning, he looked down at the map in his hand and started to pull the handle on his rolling suitcase, the frown changing to a scowl when it proved more difficult than expected. At least he'd thought ahead and put his laptop in his backpack instead. With a sigh he changed onto another path, rather glad he could easily find his way around, and headed straight for the school.

He didn't really know what to expect though, so when the building came into view he paused and took it all in. It was bigger than the last one.

Stealing a glance behind himself, Zaizen headed towards the gate and slipped inside. He kind of hoped there would be someone around to push him in the right direction, as while he knew his dorm number already, he had no idea where it was.

Tomoka was wandering around as per usual. She had finally caught up on all her sleep after the long break of juggling time with her family and nocturnal boyfriend. That and coming back only to have to move rooms to be in her own alone. It had its perks, like the whole semi-hibernation thing being uninterrupted. As she strolled about she caught sight of a rather familiar situation.

"Hello~" she called out to who she assumed to be a new student. Seemed like she was helping them out quite a bit lately, not that she minded too much. It was always quite fun and everyone needed some sort of directions for the massive school grounds. Maybe she would send an easier map to the staff and suggest it being sent out to the new students too.

Zaizen froze as soon as he heard someone speak nearby, cringing a little because he didn't want to look lost, even if he needed the help. Instead of replying though, he just glanced over at her, pausing for a moment. He held the strap on his backpack a little tighter and let his suitcase just stand up on it's own. Taking a deep breath, and still without even saying hello, he actually spoke to her. "Where's the dorms here?"

His eyes shifted across the courtyard, taking in the buildings spread out and just simply... stared at them blankly. Best not to say too much in case she thought it was alright to engage in idle chit-chat or something. Maybe later after he hadn't just been on a very long bus ride, maybe. Why his parents cheaped out on him and didn't get a train ticket or drive him there, he didn't know. Still.

"Depends on what class you're in." she smiled. Well he sure did a bad job of pretending he wasn't lost that was for sure. He seemed a bit tired too, but she was curious about him so she'd use the time guiding him to whatever dorm he was headed to pry a little. The stubborn ones could be very fun or very dull so she was curious to see which category he fell under.

"I'm Osakada Tomoka, but you can call me Tomo-chan if you want. I'm in the Day Class and if you need help getting around I can show you the way." She had basically become an honorary tour guide at this point.

Oh right, the pamphlet had said something weird like that. He didn't even blink as he shrugged and held up the paper with the details he'd needed on it. "Day." What kind of idiot had classes at night anyway? He rolled his eyes once she'd had enough time to see it, but didn't actually say his name in return. If she wanted it, she could ask. "You could just point in the right direction, though. I can find it from there." His hand twitched to rub his eyes, though he moved it to his suitcase to hide it. This place wasn't that big though, it shouldn't take too much effort really.

That and he just really wanted to sleep right then. Especially as he could already feel the extra grouchiness slipping in - his mother had woken him up far too early that morning.

"Oh good then, it's a lot easier to get to our dorm and you won't have to deal with the extra problems of the Night Class then." she giggled. He didn't seem like the type who could or would want to handle that type of thing anyway so it was definitely good that he was in the Day Class. He couldn't really hide his sleepiness from her though, despite his attempts to. It was kind of cute, but also a downer as he was getting short with her. Too bad, and she could have had so much fun. She wouldn't torture him too much though, maybe when he was more rested.

"Well that won't do, as a fellow classmate I'll escort you there and help you unpack or something." Tomoka smiled cheerfully, just to pester him a little further. "Oh, I didn't catch your name either."

"...Extra problems?" Was it difficult to get to that dorm then? Zaizen thanked his lucky stars, he was lazy enough about having to be on the forth floor, nevermind trekking to some building that was away from everything else. He did easily shrug that off and finally rubbed one eye, tilting his back so his bag wouldn't fall off now he wasn't holding it. He also tugged his earbuds out completely and shut his iPod off, considering he was almost there anyway.

"Can't be helped." His sighed and shrugged at her when sort of asked for his name, ignoring that for now. "Which way then?" His hand shifted to press against his ear, playing with his earrings as he waited for her to either point or start walking. "Though you don't need to help with anything, I'm going straight to sleep." Probably, anyway... he had to let his parents know he was safe first.

Unfortunately, this wasn't even the ultimate level of bitchiness that he could get to - luckily for Tomoka though he was almost there so it wasn't likely to get any worse. Thinking of how it probably wasn't the best idea (or his parents, really, not himself) to end up on someone's bad side on his first day there, he did mutter his name out when he started walking - "Zaizen Hikaru." Of course, that was probably quite a while after she'd asked him.

She began to lead him along when he mentioned he was just going to sleep when got there. Good thing the dorm was relatively close by; though that also made her giggle a bit on how he missed it. Maybe that school map really did need some work done. She'd have to put it on her list of things to do for sure.

"Do you need help carrying anything then, Zaizen-san?" she looked back to him with another smile. From her quick glance at his papers she recalled him being on the fourth floor of the dorms. Definitely not a fun trek up with too much luggage.

Well he was good with directions... just not when he was this tired, obviously. In fact, he had to practically squint to even see the signs for the buildings anyway. It was probably a good thing she'd come along, even if he really wouldn't admit it at all. "Should be alright." He held onto his belongings tighter, not wanting anyone else to touch them.

He actually wished he'd packed lighter now and just bought things when he'd arrived, but then he knew he'd have to go back with all his luggage too. Joy. He didn't look at her when they'd started walking though, instead, he tried to take in their surroundings so he wouldn't get lost next time. That would be pathetic.

"So what brings you to this school?" she asked curiously instead. Oh well, tough guy or touchy guy; either way he didn't want her helping out much which was fine either way to her. At this point she wasn't even expecting answers from him as she glanced back and noticed him looking around everywhere. Guys were weird about getting where they needed to on their own without help, as he was proving. Maybe when they ran into each other when he wasn't trying to get somewhere she'd have a better conversation with him.

Zaizen properly cringed at that question, remembering that morning with his mother bouncing around everywhere. He huddled into his shirt a little, pretty difficult considering it didn't have a collar, and tried to keep most of the scowl off his face. "Parents." Well, he figured that would be answer enough. Honestly though? It was like trying to get blood out of a stone when it came to conversation with him, she was going to struggle a little. At least he could see the dorms now though, even if they still had to walk a little.

He did give a light shrug after that word though, because he didn't really have anything to add to it. They thought it was a good idea. He got away from them. It was a win-win deal, really. So far at least. He might end up changing his mind if he ended up with no alone time to relax...

Aha, he didn't come by choice. That was a new one, normally people were really excited to come there since it was such a different school. Then again there was still a handful of people who weren't exactly so happy about it. She was definitely far from it so she didn't understand it too much.

"Well... I hope you find some fun here in the meantime." she grinned as they finally arrived at the dorm entrance. "It's quite the different school so things are exciting at least." She opened the door for him happily. "Let me know if you ever need anything, Zaizen-san. I'm just here on the first floor." Tomoka winked.

Yet again, Zaizen blinked at one of her comments as they finally came to a stop. "Different?" It didn't look any different to his last school - other than being smaller. So... that made him frown a little. He was mostly annoyed at the amount of floors he had to drag his suitcase up though, more than anything.  "If you say so."

He gave her a glance to make sure she knew he'd heard that last comment, though it wasn't likely he would be going to ask if he needed something. He'd work it out on his own thank you. He did pause when he moved inside to climb the first step though, pausing before mumbling a faint 'thanks' so she'd only just hear it. Normally he wouldn't bother, but he was tired enough to have some semblance of manners.
