Ray and Shannon have gone and done it again. Just when we thought that Alex was a miracle baby, a one-off, Shan took an EPT last night. It was positive! She is going to see her doctor tomorrow to confirm things officially

Stay tuned.
You bet I will. Congrats man! That's great news!
You want a girl, er? We've already got the boy we wished for, so I keep telling everyone we don't have a preference as to whether it's a baby boy or girl. I cannot help but feel that it would be great to have another son though. Girls can cry over anything they like. Boys play in the mud and climb trees, fall from them again and still don't cry. It's just that officially we don't have a name for our future son yet, but we still have one month to think of one.
(Funny, here I thought I'd check out your journal to find nothing new... This time I couldn't be any further from the truth.)

Surprise, surprise! It's hard to believe that we're going to be going through it all over again, but I'm so happy that it is happening, and that isn't like 5-6 years after Alex came into our lives.
It's no use wishing that Shannon and I had begun our lives together when we were younger than we were when we first met (even though she thought I was 25 and not 35), but it would should be nice to reduce my age, and simultaneously increase the amount of years we can spend with our children. I'd give anything to ensure that I can see them grow up and accomplish great things. There's no guarantees that I will live long enough to see to that.
I need to train myself to remain in the here and now, and enjoy each moment as it happens. I'm so excited to know that Alex will have a little brother or a sister next year. If we somehow have tw**s, I am going to tell my father that we will keep one, and they have to raise the other.

Wishing you guys all the fun of that 2nd pregnancy...
to remain in the here and now, and enjoy each moment as it happens
It won't be long before you realise how different this pregnancy is compared to your first. There's twice the fun (Alex and 'the one to be delivered'), and once the amount of time to do that it in... if you know what I mean.
Your story is going to make me counsel lots of young women about how sometimes sterility isn't 100% and they should use a condom all the time. Granted in Cleveland it seems as if they don't use condoms for any reason.
Great, my sex life has become a PSA from Selma. LOL
And I don't think it's just Cleveland. Most urban settings have that problem. I noticed it especially in Oakland. It's not quite so bad here in Phoenix, and I attribute that to the heat. Sometimes, it's just too hot to fuck, AC or not.
