Two days ago I bought flight tickets for Shan, Alex and I to go back to the Bay Area for a few days over Easter weekend. It will be good for a change of scenery, even though we were just in Las Vegas two weeks ago. It will be great to be back home over four days. I hope to bring back more of my vinyl collection too. I only brought back a handful of David Bowie albums last time.
My tattoo of Alex's name on my left arm is doing well.
I played softball last Sunday night, and hit for the cycle. I tripled down the right field line my first time up, singled to center, doubled off the first baseman's big left toe (breaking it in the process), and homered to the right center field fence. I went 4-4 with 4 rbis and 4 runs scored in a 19-5 rout. We're undefeated after 3 games, and this in another new league. They keep upgrading us after every season.
I've been sick since Wednesday. It really sucks too, because all I've wanted to do is sleep. I miss spending time with Shannon and Alex. On top of that, I've had extremely dry facial skin, and lotion only hides it temporarily. This morning I angrily shaved off all the flaky dry skin. Of course the lotion burned when I applied it. My pores were wide open. But the dryness has stabilized today. Perhaps it's getting better.
My time spent in bed around working 44 hours this week has been spent reading 1 1/2 books of fiction writer James Patterson's Detective Alex Cross series. I'll be done with Mary Mary tonight. The other was the most recent, Cross, which has been my favorite so far. I've read at least half the series to date.
