tis been a fun week. most of it revolves around daddydom, and continuing the fantastic sex life that Shannon and I have always enjoyed. work has been great because it ends when I leave the office. that's the best part.
Baseball is officially back. even though the games won't count until the Chicago White Sox take on the Cleveland Indians Sunday night, the game is alive and well. Shannon is treating me, Alex, and his Aunt Stefanie to today's Arizona Diamondbacks/New York Yankees exhibition game at Chase Field/BOB. we're leaving in 45 minutes for the large airplane hanger downtown.
last night we went to Macaroni Grill for dinner. our server wrote her name "Melissa" upside down on our paper table cloth like they do. at the end of the meal, I was feeling tired and punchy, so I processed what her name is backwards (because I do stuff like that). it's "ass i lem." so when I paid the check, I wrote "Thank you Assilem" on her copy of the receipt. hopefully she has a sense of humour. I had the Penne Rustica, subbing the penne for rigatoni. Alex slept through the entire thing.
he also slept through breakfast this morning at Mimi's Cafe. Shannon's mom treats the groop to breakfast every first Saturday of the month. next month's meeting falls on May 6th, the weekend after our first trip to California as a family.
