Nine.
Indoor photos from my trip to Frederik Meijer Gardens this past Saturday. I'll post the outdoor photos tomorrow.
A view from the parking lot.
First, I went into the "Arid" greenhouse.
These are from the next greenhouse, but I can't remember what that one was called.
Weird little cup plants.
Then into the "Victorian" greenhouse - my favorite part of the entire garden.
This is a color photo, by the way.
A very weird plant. It like, produces it's own basket or something.
Pretty neat.
Love, love, love this.
They were upset because Daddy didn't have any more coins for them to toss into the fountain.
Then into the "Tropical" greenhouse - the largest.
It was huge! In the exterior shots, you can see how tall/large this part was.
This reminded me of a joke my dad loves.
One evening, I was out to dinner with my mom and brother. My dad was working overtime and called my mom's cell phone right when we were getting ready to leave the restaurant.
They were yapping for quite some time, so I kept motioning to my mom that she could keep talking as we left, so she put me on the phone with my dad and he says,"Are you a panda?"
"Er... no, why?"
"Eats shoots and leaves?!"
Aaahhh gotta love that English sense of humor.
Couldn't get it to focus right.
They had lots of orchids in there - love!!
Those of you who aren't new to my journal know of Audrey and Audrey II lol {my orchids}.
There was a woman working there potting plants when I came to this one.
She said this is the first time it's blossomed in 7 years, and that it will be gone soon.
Perfect timing, eh?

This one was weird.

The very first thing that came to mind when I saw this was Alice in Wonderland!!
See the little faces with mouths? And they're wearing little bonnets!
