So I'm reading this book called Emotional Intelligence: Why it can matter more than IQ and I have the following conversation with myself:
(I will differentiate my responses using self and other self)
Self: Wow. This book is about emotional IQ.
Other Self: Yeah, so?
Self: That means I still have a chance to understand people and why they do the things that they do.
Other Self: HA! Unless that book talks about drugs and/or compulsive lying, you're fucked.
Self: Wow, thanks for the support. But seriously, the book talks about how the emotional center of the brain, called the amygdala, responds faster to a given situation than the neocortex. The response however, is based on pure emotion rather than logic, which is why people do weird, random shit.
Other Self: Where the hell is that E?
Self: OTHER SELF! Have you been talking to Ashley again?
Other Self: We've BOTH been talking to Ashley, you fucking moron. We're the same person, remember?
Self: And that's how babies are made.
Other Self: That's it. NEITHER of us are talking to Ashley anymore!
Self: The prunt moves were confusioning.
Other Self: No wonder we're both so fucked up...
