Today, at approximately noon, a very good and dear friend of our family..no, scratch that. He is family. He suddenly died due to an aneurysm in his stomach bursting, causing a heart attack. He was surrounded by the people he loved most in the world, his daughters, and their kids, who spent the whole weekend with him. I can't even imagine what it was like for them to actually watch him go..it's very hard for me and my family to take..but I'm so very glad that he went out exactly the way he would've wanted to. He had fun, he was surrounded by family. The guy never stopped partying in his life, all the way up until the very end.
I only wish I could've talked to him one last time.
We had some great times, Tommy Giorlando. May you rest in peace.
I leave you something that he wrote, a few years ago:
Too Long, Too Short
Ever notice that waiting 15 minutes extra for something seems like an eternity.
But think about life and love...after 1 or 50 years it seems like yesterday.
I think that is a awesome attribute of the human psyche.
A defensive way to deal with emotion.
Both are unconscious reactions that proves life is way too short.
If your not waiting for anything - and when you are....
Enjoy what you have, while you have it.
Think of what you have and had, not what you want.
You still feel the same...but at least you can have HOPE.
tommy,
death,
