Well, my 2 weeks with the Vets in Oban were BRILLIANT. it was warm and sunny (yes, i was in northern scotland) the whole time. Got to run through glens with Highland Cows and such. I had to put a pregnant Highland Cow down (she'd been off her legs a few days and was stuck in a muddy wallow....her calf was dead insider her.....it was for the best). It took a whole lot of Euthanasia drug, but at least the farmer was kind enough to call the vet to do it. There was another down cow, but she had metritis and was really thirsty so I just brought her fuck loads of water. She seemed greatful. got up the next day (score!)

Most of it was cats and dogs (a couple guinea pigs, a chicken, a snake, some ferrets and some rabbits too).....I did 2 post mortems (vets were impressed with my pm prowess)

Was really good to see all the surgery and help out etc.! Good times.

Andy turned up out of the blue on the friday I finished. Went To Ee-usc for amazing seafood before catching the ferry to the Isle of Mull and the Isle of Iona for the weekend. Both were stunning but it pissed rain THE WHOLE TIME. it was ok though. We were meant to camp, but the weather was so shit we ended up getting a room in a wee guest house (hostel was full). Guest House was lovely, but during breakfast the police turned up to kick out these 3 obnoxious middle aged liverpuddlians who'd come back drunk the night before and raised a ruckus. At first they were trying to act cool, then they became obviously embarassed. Never be 45 and acting like a frat boy. honestly.

Anyway, back in class now learning neuro and surgery. Vet Ball on friday, then lots of learning 'til the exam on June 1.

For my 25th Birthday Matty Moo and I are having a picnic on the meadows, should be sweet! (it's not his 25, but it's his birthday too)

I return home June 10th.

I got accepted to the National Aquarium in Baltomore for a 6 week vet placement. SCORE!!!!!
