Rants and Reviews: Modern Cinema and Iron Man

I'd like to take a moment to talk about movies and why I hate them so. I will also be reviewing Iron Man here, as I just saw it last night and it makes a great point to what I'm talking about. I will also be very friendly regarding spoilers, and go over nothing that doesn't appear in the trailer

I knew you'd end up liking "Iron Man", but I didn't expect you to love it as much as you did. I'm totally pumped to see it tomorrow now.

I'm eager for "Speed Racer", but I know it's going to be critically panned and disliked by most of my friends. But for me, the Wachowski Bros. have never let me down. Every single movie they've made has astounded me on a visual and mental level. They know exactly what gets me pumped and interested in movies. I don't care that everyone else hates the "Matrix" sequels because I love them both. "V for Vendetta" was fantastic too. "Speed Racer" is going to be goofy and crazy and all over the place and I know it'll be just the way I like it.

Oh, and Ellen Page is fucking awesome. Watch "Hard Candy" sometime.
