wow
so this year i have a full plate, some side plates, and desert on my "table" of life
i am busy, like woah busy
im taking 6 classes and 5 of them are power hours and just happen to land on tuesdays and thursdays every week for me
for those who dont know what a power hour is, they are classes which last 1.15 hours and when they are just about back to back, fun it is not.
i also am working at freshens and villa this year for a total of 19 hours a week
you'd think id be getting paid a lot of money but im not. its only 6.45 an hour so if you do the math im making round 220 bucks a paycheck. (we get paid every two weeks so think of me as working 38 hours in a paycheck)
working at freshens is good. it is the best food service place in the union. the boss is awesome, and the co-workers actually give a crap about the job and about the coworkers, which makes working there, easy and kinda fun. i work there more than i work at villa, a fact which makes the villa people mad at me, but whatever. i made it out of there and should be applauded. another kid tried to do what im doing, working at both places, but nancy (the boss) black-balled him and he cant do it now. i think hes gonna quit soon.
as far as classes go, mgmt 201 is a lot harder than it was told to be
its not extremely hard but it is hard. i go to office hours twice a week for it and i made an 82 on the test
which isnt bad becuase i really didnt know much of it and me goin to office hours really helped me out
stat (mgmt 305) is not too bad, basically a continuation fo the stuff i was doing in my stat 225 class
mgmt 301 is a 1 credit class so that means i just have to show up and participate
english 420 is the biggest waste of time in my life. its about techinical writing, stuff like how to write a resume, cover letter and do resaerch, all of which is covered in my mgmt 301 class. snow we have to some project saying how open source programs/systems are the best thing ever and how windows sucks basically. i find it to be rather pointless, but thankfully i am blessed with an extremely overactive bs writing gland. and i am able to crank out the bs and the teacher loves it. so whatever makes you happy man...
im taking a class for my minor its called AG econ 331. its not too bad, not too hard, its just a lot of work. kinda like engr 106 without the "difficulty" basically a lot of work and not too much to show for it. it is pretty neat though, in it i am learning how to be a salesman, how to market to customer's needs etc. i have a test in it tommorrow :(
and finally my econ 252 is not that bad of a class. i usually like econs but this teacher leaves something to be desired. i get absolutely nothing from going to class. i go however, and i just read my textbook while she slaughters the english language.
ok well stephanie is being impatient
