Mou, yesterday was so busy!
Krissu-kun and I went into the city. We went to the new Gallery of Modern Art, damn that place is insane! There was an exhibition on Asia-Pacific artwork, mainly it was focusing on Chairman Mao and also graffitti in Vietnam. There was this one video diary thingy where the guy had a map of China tattooed to his back and he was following the route that Mao followed, stopping in each key town and getting its name tattooed onto his back whilst he was there. Also another noteworthy piece which I didn't get to see properly (because the sound wasn't working) was a film this dude made, he simply got different random people to say "I will die" or something to that effect, the point was to show their reaction to the words and to make a point through body language rather than simply asking them how they felt about the matter. Well I thought it was a good idea. We also stayed until 2pm to watch this little Asian Animation film thing, it was weird, a lot of it made no sense and Krissu-kun and I both decided that it would've been awsome to see those clips smashed.
We caught the train back to Central and then realized that it was now 3pm. We needed to get manga still and we had not had any lunch yet. Of course we went to get the manga first. We stopped at a new shop called 'The Daily Planet' but didn't have enough time to hang around in there...next time I will because they have 3 walls covered in manga. We then went to Comics, etc. where I bought D.N.Angel volumes 7 & 8 (I'll probably buy more today) and then stopped at the big Borders right on the corner (which I had never noticed before, odd because it is bloody huge!) where I got Chobits vol 1 (I can see how I can get addicted to it real fast!), The Naruto Fan Fact Guide vol 8 and Gravitation vol 12 (the final manga in the series. YAY my first complete series which is in book format!). Oh yeah and then we got lunch, it was around 4:30pm by then and went home.
Today will be much more relaxed but I go home tomorrow :(
