Unwelcome changes
Becker looked downhearted as he wandered into the kitchen.
“He hates me.”
Glancing into the lounge, Matt saw Moss sitting in the centre of the room, staring forlornly at the space where his old dog-bed used to be. The new one - bigger, comfier - was in the same spot but Moss refused to get into it.
“I bought it because I thought he’d like it but I’ve just made him miserable,” Becker said.
Matt rolled his eyes. “I’ve seen that wolf fall asleep in his dinner bowl; he’ll get over it.”
“But-”
“Stop worrying; he’ll forgive you.”
