Stars
Becker found Danny outside in the garden. “What are you doing? It’s dark out here.”
“The sky is so clear; look at the stars.”
“Hmm, useful for navigation on night ops,” Becker mused. “So?”
Danny sighed, encouraging Becker lay on the grass next to him. “Stop thinking like a good little soldier boy, and just look,” he instructed.
They lay in silence for a while, before Becker murmured, “It’s pretty…”
Danny grinned at him, propping himself up on one elbow to plant a kiss on Becker’s lips. “I knew there was a romantic inside you somewhere.”
“Up yours.”
“Maybe later…”
