I've been catching up on some TV shows lately. Here are my opinions of them, in no particular order:

Has anyone else noticed that the closing-credits theme for Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey is highly reminiscent of the 1978 Battlestar Galactica? (The theme music from that show being, of course, one of the only good things about it...)

Anyone who thinks that the steady rise in global temperatures since 1880 isn't a human creation is invited to watch episode 12 of Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey, which is available on Netflix streaming.

The case is rock fucking solid. There's less scientific consensus on the Big Bang than there is on human-caused global climate change.

Has anyone else been really disappointed in the writing for the new Doctor Who season so far? I mean, the first one was kind of silly, but showed potential. The second one was just kinda WTF. And the third one was completely ridiculous. I haven't seen the fourth one yet, but I'm actually almost dreading it.

Last Wednesday, my sweetie took me to see Mr. Peabody and Sherman. I wasn't expecting much, because I'd heard some people say that it wasn't an effort worthy of the source material.

So far, I've seen eight episodes, and while I can't speak for the series as a whole (it lasted five seasons), I can say that what I've seen so far is unprecedented in American television history.
