I didn't get the position that would send me to Europe. But I am determined to work abroad. I'm considering teaching in South Korea; I've already started the application process. I would make only slightly less a month than I do now but since I wouldn't have to pay for housing it would even out. Of course this means selling or renting out my condo. And convincing my parents to watch my dogs for a year. Yeahhhhhh.
Speaking of my parents, they got into a car accident over the weekend. While driving a rental car on vacation in Seattle. They're okay except for some soreness but now there's all this craziness with the insurance and the rental car company and whatnot. They come back Thursday and then I'm spending the weekend with them. I can't believe September is so close.
On the other hand, I'm on vacation the last two weeks of September. I'm excited to get away from the craziness at work and also spend some quality time with my mom. We're going to Savannah, Georgia but will spend some time in Charleston, South Carolina, too.
Although I'm late to the party, I've been watching Lost. After having to listen to people at work rave about it, I was expecting to hate it, but it's actually pretty cool. Don't think I could've watched it "live" though because I would've been driven crazy waiting.
I'm also super into Teen Wolf. I'd blame robanybody entirely, but I've actually been watching it from the beginning, and she just got me into the fandom.
