My immediate family. My mom is like my best friend. I'm very close with one of my brothers. I'm not as close to my dad or my other brother, but I wouldn't trade them for anything.
Dogs. I don't think I could ever live without one. My parents' dog, Vinni, took care of me when I was recovering from the hospital. My dogs (Lillie and Louie) take care of me every day. They know when I'm happy, when I'm sad, and they love me unconditionally.
Food. I love trying new things, indulging in comfort food, making a recipe my own, and trying new restaurants. I was raised on my mom's southern-style cooking and her mac n cheese is still my favorite food of all time (her meatloaf coming a close second). I'm always trying out new recipes, especially for desserts. My brother, sister-in-law, and I make it our mission to try out a new restaurant every week. I will try any food once.
Traveling. My perfect job would be one where I traveled 75% of the time or more. I love the feeling of being in a new place. The wonder of seeing things up close that I may have only seen in books before. Exploring a city on my own, trying new foods, having new experiences.
Red. It's my favorite color. Anyone who walks into my house can tell this immediately. It's such a vibrant, confident color.
Books. I love reading, I always have. My favorite books are satires. I like collecting books, too. Especially recipe books. I have a bunch from the early 1900s and they're kind of hilarious. Instead of just ingredients and instructions, there's all these little asides and stories.
France. I'm a francophile, okay? I love everything from the fleur de lis to the food to the craziness of the language.
Video games. I've had a gaming system and/or computer in my house since I was born. I think it's the ultimate way to explore someone else's creative mind. It's fun, it can relieve stress, and it's something I will always have in common with my brothers.
Antiques. Mostly things you would use to decorate your house with. I'm always looking for tin ceiling tiles, cameras from the pre-WWII era, depression/carnival glass, World's Fair posters, black and white photography, old postcards.
