I am starting to panic about this whole trip. The only foreign country I've ever been to is CANADA and yet I'm FLYING ACROSS THE WORLD. This is seriously crazy, right?
So I'm packing today. I've decided to only bring one suitcase, which is really a garment bag that turns into a suitcase, and now I'm like, how is this all going to fit in here?! I'm gone for a MONTH and all I'm bringing is:
*two pairs of linen pants
*one pair of cropped dress pants
*two sundresses
*four work-appropriate shirts
*one t-shirt
*pajamas/underwear/undershirts
*three pairs of shoes (flats, walking sandals, dress sandals)
Usually I pack three times more than that when I'm just gone for a WEEK.
Oh and I have to carefully select what goes on my iPod and what goes on my Kindle (although it supposedly works all over the world) and what make-up to bring because what I bring is what I have and that's IT.
I'm also trying to learn a minimal amount of Hungarian on top of French on top of Hindi because I don't want to be an annoying American. And I don't want to get lost in some city with only my wits to defend myself with.
Did I mention that I'm going on some crazy backwater trip in rural India? And a six hour biking tour of Paris. I'm not sure which one will end up killing me but all my worldly possessions shall be bequeathed to my dearest imoutosan.
In non-travel news, I bought the expansion pack for Fallout 3 last night and stayed up until 3am playing it. BECAUSE IT IS AWESOME BEYOND LIFE.
Oh wise and noble friendslist, please rec me some books to put on my Kindle? Please!?
PS-I am moving out when I get back from France. Probably August or September. I am saying this now but don't mock me if it doesn't happen.
