a green so bright it blinds you so that you see what you've never seen before. an energy so vivid and tangible that you hold out your hand. light moves towards it. yellow bounces of the blades and hits you in the face. and when you've gotten back up off the ground, the color is erased. you are the sole creator of the beauty of the world. you paint it all your favorite colors. (it doesn't matter what they are) when people pass, they don't even see you. a noise turns heads. confused looks ensue. you can hardly believe what's happened. this sense of self has tainted the colors of the world, and you can't believe how easily you blend right in. in fact, your favorite colors are you. (a curious surprise) explaining the situation makes people run and hide. confused at what to do, you peel away your skin, revealing what's within. what a scary thing to find. what a superficial lie. what people now realize, we're inherently the same. the only thing that separates us, is skin and disease.
all my fingernails are the same length
precisely polished
perfect like a marble
lost under a chair
in plain sight, but no one cares
how delicate a hand
holding a glass
hiding the face
so mysteriously empty
and so obviously wasted
unquestionably thinking
"those who travel fastest,
travel alone"
wondering how to pass the traffic
to beat the closing door
to get into the hallway
to remain completely ignored
and when the distance travelled
is less than your location
you know you've reached your home
because that is truly no where
no where has no distance
and no where has no name
except the empty phrase that tells us
we travelled fastest
to end the quickest
but drag the ending out the longest
