I can't believe I forgot to mention...
Konan has a job! He's working at a local sod farm, doing delivery, vehicle maintenance, and some general labor/farm work. He just started a few days ago. $12/hour to start, up to $14 in 90 days. Not bad for Eastern Idaho. They're also busy enough that he can work pretty much as many hours as he wants.
The downsides: no benefits, and it may be a seasonal job depending on whether they end up having work for him when the growing season is over.
But it's still a job.
