A light at the end of the tunnel?

Konan went into Blackfoot today to meet with the person at the trucking school. It looks like everything is finally in order, and he should be able to start within a couple of weeks.

Apparently there's a company in Montana that's very actively looking for new drivers. It's an oil company. If he goes to work for them (which it sounds like he could, very easily), he would be working 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off. He would be gone for the entire 2 weeks, which would suck, but then we'd have 2 free weeks to spend doing whatever. And it's better than a lot of the actual long haul jobs where he could be gone for weeks at a time and only home for a few days. And he'd be making $50k/year right off the bat, as a newbie. That's more than we've ever made, even when we were both working. It's very tempting.

Of course, 2 weeks of him being gone the entire time would SUCK.

We're actually thinking about asking a friend of ours from Washington if she'd be interested in nanny-ing part time for us. She's been thinking about moving to Idaho for a long time (Amber and I have both been working on her), and I would so love to have her live with us in exchange for helping out with the kids while Konan is gone. That would be awesome. I love her to pieces.
