So things at Nova look like crap. We`re losing 4 teachers at the end of the month (at least that many, maybe more if we don`t get paid on time this Monday). That`s 4 of 11 teachers. I don`t see how we`ll keep going unless Nova gets its shit straightened out fast. All I have heard here is rumors. It`s frustrating.
In happier news, I have a job interview next week with a preschool in the Nagoya area. The school has both Japanese and foreign teachers, and I get to do crafts! They would like me to start as soon as possible if I`m hired, and they`ll set me up in an apartment and cover start up and furnishing costs. It sounds lovely right now. I also am waiting on a possible offer from Kagoshima (way out on Kyushu, the large island just south of the main island where Nagasaki is. I would have to take a pay cut, but if one job falls through, I might have a fall back option. Finally some sun is breaking through the clouds (or in the immortally humorous words of Nova`s fearless leader "The storm clouds will soon pass.")
Anyways, I have to apologize again for not sending out various gift packages and postcards. Money is very tight, and I`m putting down 20,000 yen just to go to the interview. It`s a bit precarious right now, but if anything should happen, I want to have one foot on solid ground.
I hope everyone is in better spirits back home. Take care!
