(no subject)
Yesterday I went to a free screening (held by some church) of The Passion of the Christ. I was hesitant to go at first, cuz you all know how I feel about these religious things, but Mali offerred some popcorn so I couldn't turn it down. Anyway, of course with all the controversy surrounding it, the movie was supposed to stir up all these emotions, and in fact, it did stir up an emotion with me: anger. It was definitely violent and all the things they say it is, but at the end, Christ being Christ, asked for forgiveness for these people who spit in his face and tortured him within inches of his life...and this was BEFORE the crucifixtion! You know I am not really one to get into religious discussion, but I was totally pissed off after the movie. I mean, whatever people out there think Jesus really was, he didn't deserve to be treated like that (if that movie was historically accurate). Then I'm thinking to myself, why doesn't God throw some lightening bolts or something down at those people who condemned Jesus? Cuz I know that God can be vengeful (see Noah's Ark), so why were those people forgiven and the other ones who drowned in 40 days/nights were not? Doesn't make any sense to me.
In other news, well...there really isn't any other news. I'm sick again, after I'd just gotten over this other cold that lasted a million years. I don't think it's as bad this time, tho. I interviewed the other day at AT&T Wireless, and I'm hopiong I get a call back. I need a freaking job!!
