"How is the library?" Kino's expression is as stony as ever, but if Patchy's working any soul-reading magic she'll be able to tell she totally wants to read more stuff in Voile.
"That's good to hear. May I ask you a question?" She wonders if this is a common problem. Perhaps it's a good thing she didn't let the coziness of the library lure her to sleep.
"...Hmm, but your maid is. I thought perhaps the whole staff here was. Anyway I wanted to ask you...What are your thoughts on human-youkai relations?" Oh nice job Kino. That came out sounding more like a come-on than a sociological question.
