okay, so she does set some stuff up books in advance (for example, we just indirectly referenced the room of requirement in book 4)--but i'm still kind of feeling a divide between books 1-3 and the rest of the series, both in tone and number of set-ups. it seems like there's not that much from the first couple books that carries through, other than SHE SAVED YOU WITH LOVE and the harry/diary horcruxes. which i guess is still fairly significant.
so mainly, i'm still bitter about the deathly hallows. the horcruxes would have been a fine way to tie up the series (even if most of them didn't pop up until like book 5) but nooooooo, gotta throw in a random SUPREME MAGICAL ARTIFACT because that's just not good enough.
maybe i'll feel differently in a couple books.
at this point my plan is to continue through and read even the epilogue of LKDJNFLEIWUFBLIRSGB even though i promised myself i wouldn't, because of an argument catherine made. more on that later, i'm sure--we'll see how well it holds up to my epilogue rage.
