i don't think i've written about the rabbits here. i've had rabbit friends for over a year now... have i really not written about them here?!? i might check sometime... but right now - more pressing matters...
anyone fit and free tomorrow - saturday 12th february, 12 noon - to help move a rabbit house from a van onto some wheels.. and then probalby off said wheels into a space in the garden here (enfield lock, north-north-east london)?
the new rabbit house is BIG and probalby heavy. there will be ken the electrician-carpenter... and
mymouse and myself.
but
mymouse is not usually very strong and is also poorly right now.. and i'm, well, most of you know i'm a wobbly cripple at the best of times... and in recent months very tired and a bit less functional... and in recent weeks, tired in a different/another/other way(s) because of treating the ill that's made me so tired... and a consequence of treating the ill is also a small bodily addition to one arm that i'm not to put at risk of damage... and hefting rabbit houses possibly constitutes 'risk of damage'...
my usual burly helpful neighbour friend is not available tomorrow. i'm not surprised at such short notice. and i have no expectations/assumptions that any of yous will be available at the same short notice, but...
i think the short notice is because ken has some wheely transport thing right now that will assist the rabbit houses travel from van to back garden, that he doesn't and won't have at other times. that, coinciding with the rabbit house being mostly built.
there might be a bit of moving other things in/around the garden to make space for the new rabbit house. as you might gather, i'm a bit unprepared and unfit/unable for this right now.
cups of tea, and expressions of gratitude, and/or marveling at your musculature, can be provided :)
fyi, a bit of background about the rabbits and their housing, but just the practical 'bare bones' of it really...
the rabbits were two, they lived in the front room... they turned out to be brother and sister... they made rabbit kittens before the vet would neuter either of them. there were two kittens... who grew old enough to leave their parent(s) without having secured a new home... so then there were four. they still lived in the front room. friends started to think that the rabbits lived here and simply tolerated my presence ;) they have a bunny uncle who minds them while i'm away for short bits of time. then i went away for a bit longer, and the rabbits went to stay at
mymouse 's - they have a 'holiday home' in the garden there now. then i got ill...and didn't really get a lot better... i also liked having the front room back to myself. and i moved their house outside here... at the same time the rabbits got used to living outside at
mymouse 's... and the once-kittens grew into adult rabbits, and the four of them moving back in to their original house here started to look problematic. so i designed a new larger house.. but i was too tired to build it myself.
mymouse has an electrician person who is also a carpenter... and third time lucky (snow hampered a couple of plans) i got to meet him and show him my designs... and he went away to build the rabbits a new house.
