brother roger of taize

a friend sent me this link today telling of the murder of brother roger of taize. it shocked and saddened me. i have never personally met brother roger, but enjoyed a visit to taize with a very good friend of mine some years back. i am surprised that such a thing happened to him in such a place, and wonder at the sense in it.
