I completely forgot to write and update on how things went in court last Monday. No I didn't go to jail, or get a fine, or any of the things I was afraid of. When the judge saw that I had paid off my past due balance, she dropped the contempt of court charges, and that was that. So everything is fine. Jim is still refusing to pay my child support out of our money, but Scott says he'll help out... so hopefully I can count on him and this won't happen again. what a relief! Thanks everyone for your good thoughts/prayers/energy - it was MUCH appreciated.
