Venture chrononology
I was piecing together a timeline for the Venture Bros in my head, in light of the new season. To keep things short, let's get right to it.
1 - * Major Tom crashes into the Bermuda Triangle. (1969)
* Jonas Venture discovers an alien transmission and takes action for the future. (???)
* Jonas Venture finishes the Gargantua I space station. (1971)
* The Monarch is orphaned in the fabled Pine Barrens. (???)
2 - * Thaddeus Venture is in college alongside Pete White, Werner Underbheit, Mike Sorayama, Leslie Cohen, the Monarch, and Brock Samson (who is a freshman, unlike the others on that list). Brock accidentally kills someone during football, and his scholarship is cut, so he joins the army. Jonas Venture dies of unknown causes.
* The Monarch attempts to blow up Thaddeus Venture in a rigged lab accident, but gets Werner Underbheit instead. Thaddeus Venture is blamed. Mr. Impossible fails White and Venture.
3 - * Brock joins the OSI.
* The Monarch attacks Dr. Venture but is beat up by Myra. (???)
* Hank and Dean Venture are born.
* Billy is blacklisted from quiz game shows and goes on the road with Pete White, until being maimed. He is taken by Brock Samson and Hunter Gathers to spy on Professor Phantamos. Professor Impossible has been removed as a professor for sleeping with a student (his future wife, from a deleted scene mentioned in the blog). The future Dr. Girlfriend is a student during this period as well. A botched experiment leads to Phantamos being presumed dead and taking up a new life as the Phantom Limb. Billy has his short term memories erased and is placed in White's care. Myra has been removed as Dr. Venture's bodyguard and is replaced with Brock.
* Phantom Limb introduces Dr. Girlfriend to the life of supervillainy.
* Phantom limb takes on Dr. Girlfriend as his partner. He has the Monarch as his henchman during this period. The Monarch notices Dr. Girlfriend and seduces her, running off with her, becoming his own villain.
4 - * Hank and Dean are repeatedly killed and revived as clones, including once from the faux Scooby Gang.
* - The series begins.
