I knew I was forgetting something. Okay, so If you all don't know already, I am IN LOVE with rainbow Arabia. One of the greatest avant-garde bands out there, and are an adorable couple. They performed at Neon Reverb this past spring (huge arts thing they have every spring and fall in Vegas) and they were on the marque.
I went with Natalie and we're like "who the fuck in Rainbow Arabia?" Apparently we were in the dark about greatness. I don't think I've ever head slammed and danced so hard in my life. The recordings are 'meh', but live? DUDE!! Holy shit they put on a show. Tiffany throws herself all over the stage and Danny is so solace behind the synth. They make an interesting pair.

We got so excited about seeing them, but the bands that followed were very lousy. I didn't mind Fools Gold because they were very upbeat, but every single song sounded the same...and lasted for about 20 minutes. I was over the concert about an hour before we left. Why not leave, you say? Well, If I didn't need to go to the bathroom on the side of the floor that had no exit, that wouldn't have been a problem. I got crowd-locked and had to wait out the storm of crappy repeat music.
The parts that follow were pretty nutso, like a lesbian couple fighting, and one falling into traffic and nearly getting her head run over by a car. Fun times. Total buzz kill. We tried to find a bar that had beer under 7 bucks, but in LA, you're more likely to find a cure for cancer first. The best option was to leave west hollywood and try to find something in melrose, which was basically a block south. We were successful, but the night was cut short because last call is about 2 AM.
You know, it's times like that when I start to worry if that I'll ever miss being a Vegas child, because last call don't fly by me. Or not getting a service to respond after 9PM. Maybe this is why Spaniards only visit Vegas because we're both kinda on the same wavelength. You know the whole "Sleep? Pussy."
I think that's enough rambling for one day.
