So today was somewhat interesting. I got up at 7:35, which I found interesting, since I fell asleep at 10:35. Nine hours of sleep, to the minute. It's hell having a literal mind.

So I went to Barnes and Noble. Read The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. Fascinating book, although it rather overdid the sentimentality. But quite well-done. Went to Borders afterward to use the $20 gift card Marissa got me for Christmas to buy "Spirited Away." Had to use the last of my cash to make up the difference--movie was $27. Borders is ridiculous.

Drove to Crews Lake Park--beautiful park. It's like a rainforest, which was bolstered by the amount of rain that decided to piss down on me right when I was taking a walk. Headed home. Chilling here while Mommy teaches one of her most notorious violin students.

Mom and I had a long discussion today about the family genes, after talking about friends of the family in their 60s who live with their parents, who are in their 100s. It's apparent that I'll live well into my 80s, at the least, given that I had great-grandparents who lived to their mid-90s and the only older family members who have died so far were either adopted or had a chronic condition that I don't have. In my part of the family, any existing health problems are the result of bad lifestyle choices easily avoided or botched surgeries. So the outlook is good for me if I'm careful.

Jeez, when did I start living in a frickin' rainforest?

Ta.
