Another from the “Lost and Found” series:
Found a neat surprise one morning on the gate opening into the Secret Garden. The wood was old and rough, and probably the perfect snag to help pull off your old skin. The picture with the eye covering still intact is the coolest one.
I don’t mind snakes so much, but thinking how many little frogs and lizards that live in the secret garden are probably being eaten was disappointing. We drilled a hole in the cement wall of the garden a long time ago because when it rained a lot, it would fill up in there pretty fast and drainage was slow. That is probably how the snake got in, so we made a plug for the hole that we can remove when it rains.
It’s so hot and humid here, but I can’t complain, especially when I see the temps out west. We are in our rainy season, so we do get a little cooling off after a rain. Pete just finished with mowing and I can hear a lot of thunder out there right now, so we’re probably in for our daily rain soon.
