Rainy Wednesday . . .
It was still dark as night in the bedroom at 9 a.m. this morning. Pete left at 7:30 to go to the lab and have blood work done. I didn’t even hear him leave, but about 8 a.m. I awoke and thought it was still night and went back to sleep. Finally got up a little before 9 and he was home and waiting for me to get up and make some coffee. He says he’ll never figure out the coffee machine. It rained most of the night, coming in waves, sometimes really hard. The front is stalled or very slow moving right now out in the Gulf and it is supposed to be like this today and maybe into Thursday and Friday. We are predicted to get 6-10” of rain!
I need to go to the gallery later this afternoon and Pete may be taking me in his truck because of flooding out there on some of the roads. I’m just going to play it by ear to see if I’m even going to go or not.
I guess I’ll work in the studio today, just putter around a bit. Dark gloomy rainy days usually bring out the laziness in me . . . more than usual. Sometimes I’ve been known to go out and photograph on days like this, but it is 11 a.m. now and still not a lot of light, so probably won’t do it. I did walk outside though and take a picture of Heart Tree that’s right outside the back door.
