watering the ball . . .

Almost a month has gone by since I last posted a picture of the succulent ball. I don't notice the growth so much until I see the past pictures I took. We haven't had rain here in awhile and I've been watering everything about twice a week. I was holding the hose set on gentle spray in one hand and my camera in the other.....

The plants on your succulent ball have grown a lot in one month!

I love watering but my legs get sore if I stand in one place for too long :(

That Vanda orchid is spectacular. The purple colour of the flowers is awesome. Amazing that it grows on 'nothing'.

That is a very awsome pic of the butterfly about to land on the lantana. Matching colours!

I love lantana. It's a pity it is a weed here. Pansies don't last long here, either. Love your petunias and daisies and all of them! (Dad has just planted out 14 or some ridiculous number of punnets of annual flowers at his place.)

Yeah, me too, on the standing in one spot too long. I keep moving as much as I can.

These orchids are amazing to me, too. In the wilds, most grow like this, attaching (or not) their roots to a tree.

I'm always trying to get pictures of things "on the wing"....but they are so fast, the pictures rarely turn out. I'm happy when I do catch one.

I've heard that lantana is a weed and can get out of control. Luckily all mine are in containers.

That struck me as funny ".....Dad has just planted 14 or some ridiculous number of punnets of annual flowers...." He'll enjoy them, I'm sure.

I keep moving as much as possible too, and this solves my problem :)

Dad has taken over mum's role of having beautiful displays of annuals. He does live near the Garden City and goes to see the flower displays each year.

Lantana is a particular problem here but might not be where you are.

Beautiful colors, love the succulent ball. It's been so cold and rainy here that I haven't put out any annuals, I'll just enjoy yourself 😊

Spring is dry for us, but really starting to warm up. I think we'll have another week or two of bearable weather, then the real humidity moves in.

Yes, that succulent ball is really starting to take shape.
