peacocks and their feathers . . .
Recently I was at my friend Debra's house and she pointed out to me the new feathers coming in on one of her young male peacocks. I guess I'd never thought about how those beautiful, gorgeous feathers grow, but that fluff of white there on the back are the beginning of new feathers starting to form. In the cropped close up, you can see better where they are beginning to come in and also the newly formed ones to the right of the white fluff.
