I had a busy day on Wednesday. My friend Thagirion came to visit - twice - and it was such a nice time with her and Chris. I will post more about that in a day or so, as I want to have time to put it all together. I’ll just say for now that I got a great gift from her - another Nepenthes

Such a different view of a dove! Looks very painterly somehow. Interesting how the 3 outer tail feathers on each side have a fringed edge.

yes, I noticed that also. It must be by design because those feathers are so symetrical. Not something the bird experienced in battle.

That bothered me so I went back and looked at the original. No jagged edges. I think it happened when I darkened the background and just never noticed. I worked on it a bit just now to make it look more natural.

I'm glad you all noticed and mentioned it because I was going to print this one up for the gallery.

No rest yet. I'm helping my friend Gail put together a surprise 60th wedding anniversary party for our friends Gene & Myrna. Gail is planning it all and I'm assisting with food prep, etc. It is going to be a sit down dinner at Gail's house (not here, thank goodness) for about 20 people.

When tomorrow night is over, I'll be so glad and then I'll rest. :))

It was so nice to see you. We had a fun time. I can't wait to see pics of your potted up nepenthes. I need to take pics of mine. So far I have a video of it in the rain. Nice capture on the dove.
