This is an awesome photo with all its lights and darks and the echo of the spines on the lizard's back, and the notches in the wood, and all the curves harmonising and the shadow of the plant's spines on another part of the leaf.

Thank you, Beth! I should have you write my descriptions. :)) You always see and say just what I see. That's neat that you noticed the notches in the wood. That piece of wood is part of the woodpile and whoever was chopping and cutting up those limbs they put those notches in it.

No, whatever effect I did on this one was in Elements and then a frame put on in pixlr-o-matic.

Thank you. I have been experimenting a lot lately by taking a "ho-hum" photo and "painting it" to bring out the best parts with little brushes and new color pallet in Elements. I'm really liking the more lively results.
