Even though our area has barely been affected by TS Fay, it has produced some powerful thunderheads at different times of the day. We only got a small amount of rain and wind one day through it all. We are thankful, and our thoughts are with those on the other coast (where they got 24+” of rain!), and other areas of Florida.
Early this morning I walked out to get the paper and saw the breaking sun behind some of those thunderheads. The formations all changed so fast, almost right before my eyes.
As I was looking around, I happened to glance straight up over my head. I saw the moon and a big cloud racing towards it. I snapped three pictures just as the cloud sailed in front of it and it was gone. Just that fast!
My pictures of the moon never ever seem to turn out, so I figured these wouldn’t either. But I was wrong. I think I got one pretty good one this time.
Then I zoomed in as close as I could until the picture just started to break up, and it looks like you can see the surface and craters. I am amazed!
