"shouldn't i be taller?"
So here I am, on holidays until Monday 5 January 2009. I've worked over the last two Christmas periods so this is my first proper Christmas break since the end of uni. But I don't feel like I'm on holidays. Maybe it just needs some time to sink in.
Fortunately after being made to dress up in the superhero costume again my department's skit won the competition. The prize was a hamper but since I didn't feel like I did as much work as some people when they asked me to pick something I just took a pack of rice crackers. Got given chocolate by my boss and my friend who is leaving. Funny being given food at work just when I won't be around to eat much!
Didn't do much all morning until half an hour til the staff party when all of a sudden all the departments finished their projects and wanted them on the web. :p My fingers went light speed!
Party was okay. They made a special vegetarian dish that was sadly deep fried arancini so I couldn't be healthy and eat salad but it was very tasty. Robbie was a surprisingly energetic Santa. My name got pulled from the hat to go and pick a gift from the table (they said "It's the superhero fairy, Rachel", gah, I am going to be haunted by this forever) and I tried to get something that looked like chocolate but it ended up being tea and mugs. ;p
Picked up a couple of last minute foods and got the train home to my lovely clean house courtesy of my lovely hard-working husband! He even did the range! My parents are coming tonight so I made up the beds and have tomorrow's dessert (cherry chocolate cheesecake) baking in the oven. :)
I turned on our little string of Christmas lights... come on me, start feeling Christmass-y...
