Okay, no more twitter posts. Enough is enough. I only turned it on because I felt like I never updated but snippets are not blog posts so let's not pretend they are anymore.
Today was the work Christmas party. We went and had Thai in Parramatta for a few hours. Good times... really, any time on the clock when you aren't stuck at your desk is a good time...
My manager asked me to once again dress up in the superhero costume and do a skit. It means I have to come into work early and watch people eat meat for breakfast. Blah. I agreed on the grounds that I would eat breakfast at home and come when it was half-way over. I'm bummed because the superhero jokes had dropped down a bit and now they will be all on again. I'll be known as 'that chick who wears a cape'. :p
My parents are visiting for Christmas! Yay! Then we are going down south for role play camp! I am very keen for a holiday (though a bit nervous about being in a crowded house of people for a week).
My garden is doing okay, supplying tomatoes on a semi-regular basis and mint, parsley and chives on command. See below for how the wheat has progressed!
First Anniversary
Taken 23/11/2008, our first wedding anniversary!
Homegrown Wheat Kernels
We grew these in our front yard next to the door. Wheat is really easy to grow!
Crushing the Wheat
After picking the kernels we pounded them up.
Wholemeal Flour
And now we have homegrown wholemeal flour!
Now I am thinking maybe we will have enough wheat for one pancake...
