New Binoculars
My 7 X 50 binoculars arrived in the mail yesterday, and I used them to look at the sky tonight. They are better, but the wiggle of my hands still causes the binoculars to have a small wiggle. To do it right I think a tripod is needed. I suspect my family is going to buy me a telescope for my birthday in a few weeks, so I'll wait to see what happens before buying anything else.
I didn't see anything very interesting tonight. It was hazy, and I think what makes it even worse is the moon is almost full. So the moon puts a lot of light on the haze, making it seem like there are only a couple dozen stars in the sky. It's still kind of neat to look at the moon with my own eyes though.
