So here's my theory: winter last year sucked because, instead of a big snowstorm once a month like we usually have, we had 2-3 inches every 2-3 days (which is enough to make traffic suck but not enough to keep people home for a day or so until everything's plowed and then we have to shovel all the time). So my impression is that no one ordered snow for this year.
Now things get a little fuzzy -- I dunno if people panicked about not having a white Christmas and lots of people ordered and we're still getting the backorders delivered or, more probably, about half a dozen vendors are sending us free samples of their snow. ;-)
So, how about in October or so we all order just a tiny bit of the very civilized, easy to clean, fluffy dry powder we got a couple of days ago instead to the annoying heavy wet sticky snow, ice and rain we keep getting most of the time? Just a foot or so of snow once a month instead of last year's and this year's schedule? And if they offer a free gift, or two for one, please say no.
Thank you! ;-)
