camberwell market now has one of those food vans selling vegan/vegie burgers and sausages! they've probably been doing it for a while, just shows how long it's been since i've been there. but there are now so many people going there, it's really crowded and annoying, and most of them don't know market etiquette, such as moving to the side when someone wants to get past. i even said excuse me, and then i had to squish past by going into (yes into) the clothes rack and she still took up the whole passage. or i had to go around behind the stall to get into it cos some other girl wouldn't let me past. just rude.
in other news i may be getting a gym membership, may as in it was more expensive than i thought, so i'll have to see if i will be able to fork out that amount of money for it. or maybe i can try and weasel a special deal out of them. well if it works out it may just be the end of the pudge pockets, so say your goodbyes to them while you can.
project going really well too. we actually got heaps of protein from our expression (more than what our supervisor got when she did hers) and our purification went surprisingly well, most of the time it ends up stuffing up on people cos the columns are rather moody. must have luck on our side, especially when the power got cut at bio21 over the weekend, so the freeze dry turned off and all our sample thawed out, and could have been sucked away by the freeze dry when the power came back on but luckily it was saved (i think that maybe the samples were taken out before the power came on, or maybe the freeze dry just stayed off). so now we characterise our protein and do all sorts of crazy experiments with it. we've done so much work with it that we've almost finished, well the big boring bit anyway. apparently most/all the other groups are going quite slow, some have barely started, which would suck as that wouldn't leave them much time to write the report.
it's very exciting, the iga in st albans now sell a whole heap of tofutti ice cream products, even odd ones that aren't usually sold like the blueberry swirl cuties, i never knew they had blueberry.
it's the 5th week already. after this week half the semester has already gone, crazy. also it's been over a year since i got my licence, i didn't even notice. doesn't feel like that long, haven't done enough driving, but i also haven't had an accident on my p's yet (another story on my l's...)
spending all your money for the week in one day is really not a good idea. oh dear
