The duties of this position are specifically dedicated to the reconstruction, reproduction, and mounted assembly of ancient (ca. 46 million years) fossil protocetid whale skeletons from Pakistan, particularly the large, nearly complete specimen GSP-UM 3551, which must be finished for exhibition within the next year.
This is a one-year term limited appointment.
Job Requirements: The requirements of the position include a minimum of a Bachelor's degree, knowledge of vertebrate anatomy and experience in mechanical and micro-preparation of fossils; In addition, the position requires skills in a wide variety of molding and casting techniques, using different media, some knowledge of chemistry.
