Rise up singing

I've been unusually premenstrual lately.  Bursting into tears over the littlest things.  Mood swings without warning.  I am very lucky to have easy periods.  Usually, there are no cramps or mood swings or anything out of the ordinary.  Not this month.

Change is in the air.  I am terrified and excited at the same time.  My faith is holding me up, most of the time.

My boy has been with me for almost two weeks now.  We've been taking good care of each other:)  These past few days would have been a lot worse if he had not been here.  I really need to find another job.  Soon.  I've applied to several jobs in the Detroit area recently.  Two are at Henry Ford Hospital and feel like they were made for me (one psychometrist postion and one psychotherapist/psychometrist position, both complete with supervision).

I saw Daisy May last week at the Ark.  This song has been in my head ever since, and it helps.  The show sold out, by the way.  People were sitting on the floor because there weren't enough seats.

Rise Up Singing by Daisy May

If you are weary
and trying to find your way home
don't give up, my friend
Cause you are not alone
In a world full of trouble
You know, trouble might find you
Well, I've got your medicine, baby
This is what you do

You've got to rise up
Rise up singing
In time, this too shall pass
You've got to rise up
Rise up singing
You know, trouble ain't build to last

And when you're left standing with no hope in sight
Cause at the end of the tunnel,
Someone's been dimming out your light
You can lose your way and end up far from home
Until the day you lose your voice, you cannot lose your song

You've got to rise up
Rise up singing
In time, this too shall pass
You've got to rise up
Rise up singing
You know, trouble ain't build to last

You know life ain't easy
And life will make you cry
So long as you're breathing, you know that you are still alive
When you're standing at the station waiting for your train,
don't you think you'll be singing that sweet refrain?

You've got to rise up
Rise up singing
In time, this too shall pass
You've got to rise up
Rise up singing
You know, trouble ain't build to last
You know, trouble ain't build to last
