It's hard making the transition from beantown (and the community!!) to anywhere else, I think, but Seattle! You'll be in the vicinity of a city that loves art, and has a Sci-Fi museum near the needle! (have you seen it? You should, it's quite a bit of fun, although I wish it was larger.) AND you'll still have access to yummy seafood. It's a chain (and some ppl say a tourist trap), but I was totally enamored with this place called the Crab Pot. If messy, fresh seafood is your thing, def. go here.

Congrats on the job. I know a lot of people in the area from the time I spent at UW - can give you some places to go and people to meet. Check out the Dreaming when you're up there - comic and games shop, in the University District in Seattle, just north of 52nd on the Ave. The owner is Aron, and he is awesome, and there are lots of neat people who hang out there.
