Mardi Gras
So Sarah usually hates Mardi Gras. She usually hates all holidays but not this year! So Ive been wanting to go to a parade since carnival started but no one wanted to and I really didnt want to go alone. Well all day I begged Kristy to go and she wouldnt budge and then she got a legit excuse and it was all terrible and we hate FEMA even more now. So I was already around the parade area so I thought hey I might as well. I can leave before dark or something. Well I ended up staying for all 3 parades and it was so much fun even if I had to party with myself. The people were so friendly and not in a creepy way. I met a bunch of old guys. All cool New Orleans people. Im pretty sure they all hate Baton Rouge because when I would tell them that they kind of turned their noses up. So from now on its Plaqumine or Port Allen or just Brusly and I dont care. NO people hate Baton Rouge.
Whats with English people and Mardi Gras? There are always lots of Brits. They had the coolest white trash brits at the parade. They were tres friendly. They kept yelling "Hey man, I'm from England." I would have thought he was just milking these dumb people if it werent for the Ozzy Osborneish barely distinguishable accent. Lots of young brits too.
I got lots of cool things. They threw a lot of cups. I guess they are trying to replenish our cup collections after the hurricane. Beats me. Dont need cups for a while. I also got a barbie doll. Its kind of bizarre. Just all kinds of fun stuff. I really like New Orleans Mardi Gras ten times better than BR. I dont know if its just bc there arent as many people as usual, but they are just way more polite and cool. And to all those who think that there shouldnt be a mardi gras this year well screw you because they had this black guy from new orleans standing next to me and he was having the time of his life. He shook hands with everyone thanking them for being there. He was just so happy.
Oh man I tried to give this little kid a bead and he just froze up and wouldnt look at me. It was kind of weird, but I guess thats what you have to do in NO as a kid. Damn thing made me feel like a child molester though.
